Annual Work Program Solicitation

The Adirondack/Glens Falls Transportation Council is currently developing its annual work program for the upcoming State Fiscal Year (April 2020 – March 2021).  The goal of our program is to work with our member municipalities and the public to maximize the value and performance of our regional surface transportation system through the collaborative identification and implementation of plans, policies, and improvements that consider all modes of travel. The  annual update to the work program allows the Council to entertain new priorities that may have emerged over the past year and reconsider candidates previously submitted but not executed due to resource limitations. A/GFTC is requesting project candidates for SFY 2020-2021. Project requests are due from our municipalities by 11/29/2019.

Draft Glen Street / Fire Road / Webster Avenue Intersection Evaluation

At the request of the City of Glens Falls, Creighton Manning Engineering has completed an operations and pedestrian access analysis of the signalized intersections of Glen Street / Fire Road and Glen Street / Webster Avenue. The draft document contains recommendations and concept-level cost estimates to improve pedestrian mobility as well as vehicular circulation efficiency. Public comments will be accepted on the attached draft through November 6, 2019 prior to finalization by the A/GFTC Planning Committee.
