NOTE: This document also includes the draft Albany – Schenectady – Troy, NY Air Quality Conformity Determination, which addresses all transportation projects in the Capital Region Transportation Council (CRTC, formerly known as Capital District Transportation Committee) 2022-2027 Transportation Improvement Program and the New Visions 2050 Long Range Plan, the Adirondack/Glens Falls Transportation Council (A/GFTC) 2022-2027 Transportation Improvement Program and 2045 Ahead Long Range Plan, and the Capital Program of Transportation Projects in Greene, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties.

DRAFT Long Range Plan Presentation

A presentation of the Draft Long Range Plan update, 2045 Ahead, will be given at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 as part of the A/GFTC Planning Committee meeting. The presentation will include an overview of planning principles and future priorities concerning safety, road and bridge conditions, traffic congestion, public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and more. A recording of the presentation and the draft plan will be posted on this website after the meeting. DRAFT White Creek Pedestrian and Parking Study Available

The draft Town of White Creek Pedestrian and Parking Feasibility Study is now available for public comment through August 9, 2023. This study examined pedestrian improvements and parking needs near the Cambridge Community Forest and Town Hall area including Rockside Drive and Mountain View Drive. White Creek Pedestrian & Parking Connection Study — Public Meeting

A presentation of the draft White Creek Pedestrian & Parking Connection Study will be made at the White Creek Town Board meeting at 7:00 p.m. on July 11, 2023. The meeting will be held at the Town Hall, 28 Mountain View Dr, Cambridge, NY 12816. The presentation will cover draft concepts to formalize parking for the Cambridge Community Forest (CCF) and Town Hall as well as improve pedestrian connections. Following the meeting, the draft report will be made available on this website on 7/12/2023, pending Town Board approval to release the draft for public comment.

The Draft Warren County Electric Vehicle Charging Station Assessment is now available for review and comment. (Click here for link). This document provides a general overview of EV charging needs, gaps, opportunities, and challenges for the rural areas of Warren County, New York. Queensbury Adaptive Signal Control Technology Feasibility Study – Public Info Meeting

On Monday, February 27, there will be a presentation of the initial results of the Queensbury Adaptive Signal Control Technology Feasibility Study at 7:00 p.m. as part of the Town Board Meeting. This study examined the feasibility of new traffic signal control technology vs. traditional signal coordination for the Aviation/Quaker Road corridor. Draft Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan Update

A draft of the updated Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan (CHSTP) is now available for public comment.

The purpose of the CHSTP is to provide a framework for the coordination of transportation services within the planning area with an emphasis on services for aging adults and persons with disabilities. This Plan will provide a structure for the development of projects that address the transportation needs of the targeted populations by improving coordination between transportation stakeholders (agencies, clients, operators, and regulatory entities).
In addition, the CHSTP sets forth priorities for key Federal Transit Administration (FTA) programs.

Public Comment Open – Section 5310

Public comment will be accepted on the addition of three projects to the Transportation Improvement Program. These projects, recommended to be funded under the Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Public Transportation grants program, will fund vehicle purchases by human service agencies within the MPO. More detail regarding the projects and public comment procedures is available at this link. Comment will be accepted in writing through June 21, 2022.

REVISED RFP – Queensbury Adaptive Signal Control Technology Feasibility Study

REVISED 4/12/2022 The Town of Queensbury, in collaboration with A/GFTC, has been awarded grant funds by NYSERDA for an Adaptive Signal Control Technologies Feasibility Study within and around the Aviation/Quaker Road corridor in Queensbury, NY. This feasibility study is intended to identify innovative signal-timing solutions to congestion management in and around the Aviation Road/Quaker Road corridor in Queensbury, New York. The study will analyze the feasibility of Adaptive Signal Control Technologies (ASCT), comparing ASCT to traditional signal timing improvements in terms of efficacy (changes in starts/stops, wait and travel times, etc.), potential reduction in greenhouse gases, ease of implementation, co-benefits, life cycle costs, and sustainability regarding operations and maintenance.
