The Adirondack/Glens Falls Transportation Council is currently developing its annual Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), a list of transportation planning projects for the upcoming State Fiscal Year (April 2027– March 2028) and is requesting candidate projects from our member municipalities.
Candidate projects include but are not limited to:
- Traffic studies for roads and intersections
- Transportation safety analyses
- Bicycle/Pedestrian feasibility projects
- Public transportation and regional mobility
- Infrastructure resiliency
- Transportation-related land use planning

Note that there is no cash expense to the municipality for transportation planning projects undertaken by A/GFTC; sponsoring municipalities contribute to the project costs in the form of in-kind labor on project steering committees and assistance from professional staff and municipal representatives.
The deadline for project requests is December 4, 2026.
