Public Comment Open – Section 5310

Public comment will be accepted on the addition of three projects to the Transportation Improvement Program. These projects, recommended to be funded under the Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Public Transportation grants program, will fund vehicle purchases by human service agencies within the MPO. More detail regarding the projects and public comment procedures is available at this link. Comment will be accepted in writing through June 21, 2022.

GGFT TIP Amendment request

Greater Glens Falls Transit has requested an amendment to the A/GFTC Transportation Improvement Program to change a project listing from the purchase of 4 replacement mini-buses to the purchase of two 30′ transit buses. Public comment – draft annual work program

The draft A/GFTC Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) for State Fiscal Year 2022-23 is available for public review and comment. The UPWP is listing of planned staff, committee, and consultant activities intended to support and advance regional transportation planning objectives. The draft program is here. DRAFT North Road Pedestrian Feasibility Study

The draft North Road Pedestrian Feasibility Study is now available for public comment. This draft examines the feasibility of various pedestrian and bicycle facilities for the section of North Road between Gray Avenue in the Village of Greenwich to the Thunder Mountain Recreation Area entrance within the Town of Greenwich. Comments may be submitted via email to jack@agftc.org until December 3, 2021.

Draft Glen Street Intersections Pedestrian Access Study – public comment

The draft report for the Glen Street Intersections Pedestrian Access Study, commissioned by A/GFTC for the City of Glens Falls and prepared by Barton & Loguidice, has been released for public review and comment and is available here. The report includes field assessments and observations of pedestrian mobility issues at the Glen Street / Bay Street / South Street and Glen Street / Washington Street / Sherman Avenue intersections in the City of Glens Falls. Recommended mitigation efforts are included and prioritized based upon anticipated impact and ease of implementation. TIP Amendment request – withdrawal of WAS 170

The Washington County Department of Public Works ahs requested a n amendment to the A/GFTC Transportation Improvement Program to remove A/GFTC project # WAS 170 from the program. WAS 170 is currently two projects: bridge replacement for County Route 74 over Fly Creek in the Town of Easton, and bridge replacement for Hickory Hill Road over Camden Valley Creek in the Town of Salem. Due to pressing structural needs, the County has elected to pursue project implementation with its own resources rather than seek federal funding assistance.

Adding or deleting projects from the TIP require that the public be provided with an opportunity to review and comment prior to A/GFTC Policy Committee consideration for approval. TIP Amendment request – NYSDOT paving projects

The New York State Department of Transportation has requested an amendment to the Transportation Improvement Program to add $6.900 in additional Construction and Construction Inspection programming to facilitate pavement surfacing projects for five sections of NYS Highways in the A/GFTC region. Draft Public Participation Plan

The draft update for A/GFTC’s Public Participation Plan is available for public review and comment. The document, available here, contains several revisions related to outreach associated with varying levels of A/GFTC work efforts, project-level procedures, and parameters for acceptable comment transmission formats and content. Draft UPWP Amendment

The draft amended 2021-2022 UPWP is available for public comment prior to A/GFTC Policy Committee consideration for approval. Village of Greenwich Zoning Update – Open House

A/GFTC, along with the Village of Greenwich and The Chazen Companies, will be hosting an open house for proposed changes to the Village zoning code. The draft code updates are in line with the vision of the Village’s Main Street Streetscape Plan and include providing greater parking flexibility and predictability for new development along Main Street. The Village will be holding an open house for the public to learn more about the proposed zoning changes & provide input. The event will be held in the patio next to Argyle Brewing Company, 1 Main Street, Greenwich, NY, on Friday, August 13th from 5-7 PM. Event is outside and weather dependent. Alternate date to be determined if cancelled due to inclement weather.
