Requested TIP Amendments from CDTA

The Capital District Transportaiton Authority is seeking the following amendments to the A/GFTC Transportation Improvement Program to direct Federal Transit Administration Section 5307 and 5339 funds to the following proposed expenditures:

  • $1.145M to support Information Technology enhancements and replacements
  • $1.823M for purchase or lease of trolleys and buses to meet service demands
  • $0.040M for replacement of non-revenue support vehicles

These requests are for elements included within CDTA’s approved State Fiscal Year 24-25 budget. The notice of intent to apply for these funds was advertised regionally via legal notices as of May 11, 2024. The requests will be considered for approval by the A/GFTC Policy Committee at its next meeting on June 12, 2024. Glens Falls Middle School and High School Circulation Study available for public comment

The draft final report for the Glens Falls Middle School and High School Circulation Study is available for public comment through June 8, 2024. The study (linked here), conducted by Creighton Manning Engineering and commissioned by A/GFTC on behalf of the Glens Falls School District, contains capital improvement concepts and operational recommendations that the School District and the City of Glens Falls may consider to improve traffic and access safety conditions in and around the Middle School and High School campus. Warrensburg / Main Street RFP

The Town of Warrensburg has requested assistance from the Adirondack / Glens Falls Transportation Council (A/GFTC) to prepare a conceptual design of the US Route 9 (Main Street corridor) through the central portion of the hamlet of Warrensburg. The goal of the project is to develop a community-supported vision of the roadway profile that better accommodates all potential users. Principal among the issues to be considered are pedestrian safety, ADA accessibility requirements, on-street parking, access management opportunities, streetscaping improvements, and commercial vehicle access.

Draft annual work program (UPWP)

The draft annual work program for A/GFTC, known as the Unified Planning Work Program or UPWP, has been approved by the A/GFTC Planning Committee for release for public comment. The UPWP is a listing of proposed staff and consultant tasks for the upcoming State Fiscal Year (April 1 2024 – March 31, 2025). Included projects are the result of requests by our member municipalities in response to a region-wide candidate project solicitation.
