Draft UPWP Amendment

The draft amended 2021-2022 UPWP is available for public comment prior to A/GFTC Policy Committee consideration for approval. The draft, available here, is intended to correct minor discrepancies between estimated and available program balances.  Comments will be accepted through September 13, 2021 and may be transmitted in writing by email to aaron@agftc.org or by conventional mail to A/GFTC, 11 South Street #203, Glens Falls, NY, 12801.

Village of Greenwich Zoning Update – Open House

A/GFTC, along with the Village of Greenwich and The Chazen Companies, will be hosting an open house for proposed changes to the Village zoning code. The draft code updates are in line with the vision of the Village’s Main Street Streetscape Plan and include providing greater parking flexibility and predictability for new development along Main Street. The Village will be holding an open house for the public to learn more about the proposed zoning changes & provide input. The event will be held in the patio next to Argyle Brewing Company, 1 Main Street, Greenwich, NY, on Friday, August 13th from 5-7 PM. Event is outside and weather dependent. Alternate date to be determined if cancelled due to inclement weather.

TIP Amendment request – I-87 bridges over Route 9, Lake George

The New York State Department of Transportation has requested an amendment to the Transportation Improvement Program to add $10.325M in additional Construction and Construction Inspection programming to facilitate the project to replace the two bridges carrying Interstate 87 over Route 9 between Exits 22 and 23 in the Town of Lake George. The specific amendment request is available here. Amendment requests of this fiscal scale require that the public be provided with an opportunity to review and comment prior to A/GFTC Policy Committee consideration for approval. Exit 17 bridge project

The New York State Department of Transportation is seeking public comments on proposed design elements for a project to repair or replace the bridge carrying US Route 9 over Interstate 87 (Exit 17) in the Town of Moreau. Exit and entrance ramp reconfigurations are also under consideration. Please use the comment form provided at https://www.dot.ny.gov/I87Exit17 to submit comments directly to NYSDOT.

Draft Exit 17 TIP Amendment request

The New York State Department of Transportation has requested an amendment to the A/GFTC Transportation Improvement Program that would add approximately $11M to the scope of the Exit 17 bridge replacement and ramp reconfiguration project. This amendment request has been reviewed and Approved by the A/GFTC Planning Committee for release for a 30-day public comment and review period prior to Policy Committee approval. Draft Air Quality Conformity Determination

The draft Air Quality Conformity Determination for the Albany-Schenectady-Troy 1997 8 Hour Ozone Non-Attainment Area is available for public review and comment prior to Policy Committee consideration as final. This new conformity determination was triggered by Capital District Transportation Committee’s update of its New Visions 2050 metropolitan transportation plan. The report confirms that projects listed in A/GFTC’s and CDTC’s long range plans (LRPs) and Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) meet all applicable transportation conformity requirements.

Draft TIP available for public comment

The A/GFTC Planning Committee has approved the draft 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Program, Self-Certification, and Capital District Air Quality Conformity Determination for public review and comment prior to Policy Committee consideration.
